Floods and landslides caused by heavy rainfall
have killed 17 people in Northern Haiti. The floods and
landslides destroyed 90 houses, severely damaged 800 and flooded a further
15000. 2200 hectares of crops were also flooded. Over 6500 people were left
homeless and had to be housed in temporary shelters.
