Ankaizina Field
Location: North Madagascar
Type: Cinder Cone

Status: Extinct?
Details:
This
volcanic field covers parts of Tsaratanana and Ambondrona massifs in northern Madagascar. The last
activity to occur at the volcano was in the Quaternary and consisted of
pyroclastic flows and basaltic lava flows. The most recent activity produced
cinder cones and lava flows that travelled down the valley floors in the
Bealanana region.
