Floods caused by
heavy rain on Solomon Islands
have claimed 19 lives. 52,000 people have been affected and in the capital Honiara
17 fatalities have been confirmed and 30 are missing.
12,000 people have also
been affected in the capital. In Guadalcanal
2 fatalities have been confirmed and 40,000 people have been affected. 13 evacuation centres have been set up for those thousands who
have been left homeless.
